Jai Narain Vyas University (JNVU) Established in 1962 took over the four colleges of Jodhpur is run by state authorities. Accredited with “A” grade by NAAC, is the only residential university in the state of Rajasthan, catering primarily to the needs of students in western Rajasthan.Since in this university is in the great Indian Thar desert, the R & D activities centered on heritage, society and the challenges in the region. Jai Narain Vyas University Dr. S. Radhakrishnan president of India inaugurated the then University of Jodhpur 24 August 1962.
